What our clients say

More client stories

Working with MAXCORP on our Canadian money services registration project was a smooth and professional experience. The team was responsive, well organised, and clear throughout. We appreciated their practical guidance and would be happy to work with them again.

Berton Bian, General Counsel, LianLian LDCCross-border payments

Securing our FINTRAC-registered MSB was a smooth, well-managed process from start to finish. … We continue to work with the same team for ongoing compliance support, including our RPAA registration with the Bank of Canada.

Richmond Tung, CEO, AxiomXchangeCrypto and fiat exchange

We chose Switzerland specifically for the banking relationships and the Crypto Valley network. MAXCORP handled our VQF application and Swiss substance setup end to end. The bank introductions alone saved us months of frustration: every institution they introduced us to already understood what VQF membership meant.

CEO, European DeFi PlatformOperating in 20+ countries · Platinum package, Zug GmbH

Their MiCA CASP application strategy across Lithuania and Latvia was the most thorough we received. Documentation, capital planning and NCA engagement were all handled by one team. We chose Latvia for the tax structure and it shipped on schedule.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which fintech licence do I actually need?

It depends on what your business does. Crypto-asset services point to MiCA CASP, Switzerland SRO or Canada MSB. Fiat payment accounts and e-money issuance need an EMI or PI licence. Investment fund management needs AIFM. Crowdfunding platforms need ECSP. International remittance fits MSB licences. Our project team can review your business model and recommend the right licence category.

How fast can I go live?

Speed varies by licence and jurisdiction. Canada MSB ready-made entities can go live in 2 weeks. Switzerland SRO membership takes 3 to 4 months. In the EU, crowdfunding (ECSP) takes about 4 to 5 months, AIFM 4 to 6 months, a PI 6 to 9 months, MiCA CASP 6 to 10 months and an EMI 9 to 12 months. Contact us for a timeline tailored to your scope.

What if I need more than one licence?

That is common in fintech. A crypto exchange with fiat ramps may need MiCA CASP plus EMI. A multi-region remittance operator may combine Canada MSB plus Switzerland SRO. An asset manager may need AIFM plus ECSP. We map the licence stack as part of the initial assessment and deliver it under one project plan.

Do you handle ongoing compliance after go-live?

Yes. Our compliance team provides AML/CFT framework maintenance, MLRO and Compliance Officer outsourcing, regulatory reporting and DORA-aligned ICT compliance. Standalone compliance services are available for clients with existing licences. Learn more about our compliance services.

Where are your teams based?

Our legal and compliance teams work in the European Union, Switzerland and Canada, the jurisdictions we license in. For Canadian MSBs, our Canada team provides the Compliance Officer and the local presence.
